And just as the Phoenix

rose from the ashes,

she too will rise

Returning from the flames,

clothed in nothing but her strength.

more beautiful than ever before.

It’s been two months today that my home caught on fire. There’s not a day that goes by, that I’m not thankful for the health and safety of my boys and I. However, I’m not going to lie and say this hasn’t been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through in my life, because it most definitely has been. Nonetheless, I can’t dwell on how hard it’s been when I’ve been so blessed to have so many kind people lend a helping hand. From family, friends, to the teachers and administrators at my school, the West Jordan Police department, West Jordan Fire Department, to the Riverwalk LDS ward, and anonymous patrons who donated to my go fund me account. Never have I felt so much support, and that drives me to keep my head up. I do feel down at times because there are some things I will never regain. But all in all, all I can do is make peace with it, and in time I’m sure I will. In the meantime, I must move forward and keep a strong front. I still have a have a long way to go to get back on my feet.

Thanks for reading,

I’ll never forget the look on their faces.
