19 Teen & Counting

Big Baby's Birthday!

My hands were busy through the day
I did not have much time to play
The little games you ask me to
I did not have much time for you

I'd wash your clothes; I'd sew and cook
But when you'd bring your picture book
And ask me please to share your fun
I'd say "a little later son."

I'd tuck you in all safe at night
Hear your prayers and turn out the light
Then tiptoe softly to the door
I wish I had stayed a minute more

For life is short and years rush past
A little boy grows up so fast
No longer is he at your side
His precious secrets to confide

The picture books are put away
There are no children games to play
No goodnight kiss, no prayers to hear
That all belongs to yesteryear

My hands once busy now lie still
The days are long and hard to fill
I wish I might go back and do
The little things you asked me to

I don't regret having my son at 16, he was the best thing that happened to me. However, I am sorry for not being able to be there for him the way I would have liked to be. Jaden had to grow up with me and because of that, we have a very unique bond.

For Jaden's birthday I cooked a simple dinner of his favorite steak and potatoes. His birthday weekend the boys and I went to the summer jam concert featuring our most favorite artist CHRIS BROWN! 😱😱😱

I couldn't believe it when it was announced on the radio. Everyone that knows me, knows I'm obsessed with his music! So of course I purchased tickets as soon as they went on sale.
I will say the venue was not up to par. Not for a star like Chris Brown. His concerts typically have great productions. Cbreezy's real talent was not able to completely shine through.
Nonetheless, I know my boys and I were the livest ones in that crowd! Going to the concert with all three of my kids together was the best way I could imagine spending our summer night.

Thanks for reading,

Tiffany
