Valentines

“Today’s Valentine’s Day. There’s a whole day devoted solely to love. Does that make any sense? Nah. Love makes us all crazy. But it’s fun too.”
Lisa Greenwald, Sweet Treats & Secret Crushes

With or without a valentine I love Valentine’s Day why because I love, love! I love romance, I love happiness. And I don’t think that anyone needs a significant other to celebrate love. I also don’t believe that you need a particular day to celebrate love either but since we do have one why not!

So this year I do not have a “Valentine, ” but it did not stop me from enjoying my valentines. This weekend my friend and I went to the ballet because I am a ballet fanatic/season ticket holder. However, I typically do not go to ballet on opening weekends. I like it to be a little seasoned before I go, so I generally go the following week. However, I am going to be out of town, so it happened to work out that I went Valentines weekend.

Anyway, Kiki and I went to the ballet Sleeping Beauty it was wonderful, and we looked marvelous! Yes! I’m giving myself kudos because this dress gave me life! Afterward, we went to the red door which I have discussed in previous posts and raged about how I absolutely love it. The martinis there are great. I highly recommend the butterscotch martini. We also made it to the cheesecake factory. I honestly, I could’ve skipped on this one. I don’t like eating late and to the cheesecake factory is just not my favorite place to eat. But overall the night was splendid. I was home by one which is awesome. I got to watch cartoons with my kids cause they were still up waiting for me, so it was a great night.

Today on Valentines, I was determined to have a great day. I pretty much made my son’s valentines box (he picked out the paper). He wanted a soccer theme. So, I stayed up the previous night just to make the soccer goals. It turned out pretty awesome, we could not find a miniature soccer ball, so we use a lid, and I taped a picture of a soccer ball on top. Overall, Elijah was very satisfied with it.

Then I spoiled myself by going to Ulta buying unnecessary makeup! Because I am obsessed. Then I have this adorable outfit already planned to go out to dinner with the girls. White dress paired with corset belt that I am completely obsessed with. I’m seriously trying to pair it with everything. I made reservations the week before at this very urban chic spot called Frida bistro. My friends have not been there before, but I knew that they would love it and they did. I recommend the tiger shrimp, so yummy.

I would say that this Valentine’s Day was a success!  I am truly happy and filled with lots of love in my life, and I hope yours is too!

Tiffany 💗
